Upload files to Resources

Upload lesson files to the right destination and wait until they are ready to use.

Here’s how

  1. Choose the destination

Open Resources & Uploads and the intended library or folder, then open Add Files. Check Uploading To in the dialog. Read the sharing notice before selecting a file: school resources are shared across the school, and class folders are for class-wide materials.

  2. Prepare a supported file

The local file picker accepts PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV and common image files such as JPEG, PNG and WebP. Follow the size and file-count limits shown by the upload form; Chat attachments and Resources can have different limits. Use only material appropriate for the destination.

  3. Select and describe the files

Use Browse Local File to select files from your device. Review the selected names, remove any unintended selection and add a useful description when appropriate. For example, explain which lesson a reading passage supports.

  4. Start the upload

Choose Upload File or the displayed multiple-file upload action. Keep an eye on progress and the results. If some files succeed and others fail, note which ones need attention rather than uploading the whole set again.

  5. Wait for processing

An uploaded file may still need processing before it is usable. Check its status in the library or details view. Wait for Ready; if it reports an error, follow the processing guidance instead of assuming the file is ready because its name appears.

  6. Open and check the item

Open the destination folder and inspect the completed file. Check its content and name, then use it in the relevant teaching task. Uploading a file to a folder does not itself select it as context for every Chat conversation or publish an assignment.

Check your result

Your file is in the intended location and you have checked that it is ready to use.

If something doesn’t look right

The file is rejected

Check the file format, size and upload limit displayed by the form.

Choose a supported file or reduce its size. Renaming the extension does not convert the file format.

Some files uploaded and others failed

Read the per-file upload results and check the destination.

Retry only the failed items after addressing their errors, and check for existing copies first.
