Reuse an existing teaching resource

Here’s how

   Find the original or file copy

   For a generated resource, return to the chat where it was created and open the resource. For a saved or uploaded file, open Resources & Uploads, choose its library and search by name. A published quiz assignment, its source quiz and a downloaded file are different items.

   Check the actions available to you

   Open the resource or file menu and review the available actions. Shared files may offer different controls from your own files. A file’s Edit action can edit its file details; it does not mean the file will reopen in the original generated-resource editor.

   Make a file copy when needed

   In Resources, use Make a copy from the file’s menu to choose a destination and complete the copy. Open that destination and check the result before working with it. Use a destination appropriate for the people who should see the material.

   Adapt the teaching content

   Edit a generated resource in its original editor, or download a file and work in an application suited to its format. Before editing an original, decide whether you need to keep the earlier version separately. Do not assume an exported copy follows changes made to the original.

   Save and check your version

   Save changes to the editable resource. If you changed a downloaded file, save it on your device and upload the revised file when you need it in TopSchool. Use a name that distinguishes the new lesson or version, then reopen it to check.

   Choose the next teaching task

   Copy, print or download the revised material as needed. Only an eligible saved quiz can use the quiz assignment publication flow. Editing a source or making a file copy does not by itself update an existing assignment.
