Set up your Teaching Profile

Use Teaching Profile to describe your teaching and preferences. Keep it current, then check the class context again when you start a specific task.

Here’s how

Open Teaching Profile
Select Teaching Profile in the teacher navigation and open Identity. Review the teaching and school information shown, including information drawn from your classes.
1. Callout 1: Active classesThis card summarizes the classes currently connected to the profile.
2. Callout 2: Subjects inferredSubjects can appear as you create or connect classes.
Review your teaching context before updating your preferences.
Check identity and school context
Correct the editable information that is out of date. If a value is drawn from a class or school record, update that source through the appropriate class or administrator workflow rather than trying to overwrite a summary.
Set teaching and assessment preferences
Open the teaching and assessment preferences and choose the approaches that reflect your practice. Use specific preferences that will help with real lesson planning, rather than selecting every available option.
Save your changes
Choose the profile save action and wait for confirmation. If you are leaving with unsaved changes, stay and save what you want to keep; discard only the edits you intend to lose.
Check the saved profile
Return to Teaching Profile and review the changed fields. When starting a chat or tool, still supply any task-specific requirements and check the selected class. Profile preferences do not replace your review of generated material.

Your Teaching Profile contains your current saved preferences.

Check whether it comes from a class or school record.

Correct the source record or ask the school administrator for help, then revisit your profile.

Tell the team what you were trying to do and what happened.
