A role change is blocked
Read the warning, particularly if this is the last administrator or your own account.
Arrange another authorised administrator or ask support for help rather than trying to bypass the protection.
Use Users & Permissions in your school administrator workspace to invite staff and manage their school roles.
You need school administrator access. Review the effect of role changes or removal before confirming them.
Open Users & Permissions and search for the person first. Confirm their email and existing status so you do not invite the same person twice.
Choose the invitation action and enter the first name, last name and email. Choose the appropriate Teacher or Admin role, then use Send invite. Give administrator access only to staff who need to manage the school.
Return to the user list and review the status shown for that person. Sending an invitation and the person completing access setup are separate stages. Ask them to use the invited email if they have trouble joining.
Open the user’s edit action, select the intended role and save. Read any warning about changing an administrator role, especially your own. Keep an appropriate administrator available to manage the school.
Use the removal action only for the intended user and read its confirmation. Coordinate any handover of school work before removal. For questions about deleting the person’s records as well as removing access, contact support before proceeding.
The user list shows the intended invitation, role or access change.
