An existing student is not listed
Check the search, class and school, and distinguish the roster from the school’s complete student list.
Ask an administrator to confirm the student record before creating another one.
Use the class roster to add an existing student, create a student where available, or remove a membership that is no longer needed.
Student features and roster changes must be available to your account.
Open the class in Classes & Students and go to its student list. Check the class name before making roster changes.
Choose the add-student action and search the existing students first. Match more than the name when two students have similar names. Select the intended student and complete the add action.
If the student does not exist and your account offers creation, use the new-student route. Enter the required details carefully and complete the form. Do not create a duplicate just because a student is temporarily missing from a filtered list.
Return to the roster and find the student you added. A roster entry and a student’s ability to sign in are separate checks; review the access status if the student also needs to use TopSchool.
Use the student row’s Remove from class action, read the confirmation, and select Remove only for the intended student. This action removes membership in this class; do not use account deletion to tidy a roster. Check the list again after the change.
The class roster contains the intended students, and you have checked any access setup still needed.
